TECNO marks 2017 Children’s Day with scholarship for kids across Nigeria
This year’s activity marked the brand’s fourth consecutive year of awarding scholarships to top performing kids. Though previous editions of the scholarship focused on rewarding highflying kids across the country one city at a time, however this year, the mobile brand resolved to simultaneously reward youngsters in government primary and secondary schools across the country.
Among the winners for this year’s N100,000 scholarship award were Tom Divine of Ilupeju Primary School and Hamzat Quadri of Community Primary School Ilupeju, Mushin LGA of Lagos.

The contribution of private and government stakeholders in the educational sector should never be exhausted due to the dynamic nature of education and its importance to nation building.
Thus, it is important to mention that while the government is expected to assume more responsibilities for the growth and development of our children, private entities should also play a more inclusive role in salvaging the future of these young ones like TECNO Mobile is already doing so that they will be able to compete with their counterparts in other parts of the world.
